About Chris W. Chan BL
Chris W. Chan BL is the founder of Lawyered.Law, and Ireland's first Chinese-born barrister from Hong Kong. He was called to the Irish Bar by Ireland's Chief Justice, The Hon. Mr Justice Frank Clarke in 2020. Chris is registered on the Roll of Practising Barristers with the Irish Legal Services Regulatory Authority since October 2020.
Upon obtaining his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Law with Criminal Justice at Letterkenny Institute of Technology, Chris further obtained a specialist Advanced Diploma in Immigration and Asylum Law and a Barrister-at-Law Degree at The Honourable Society of King's Inns.
In addition to his legal training, Chris served as a judge for the Vivian Lavan Moot Court Competition at University College Dublin in 2018, and as an Editor and the Public Relations Officer for the King's Inns Law Review (Volume IX, 2019-2020).
Chris is qualified to represent in both civil and criminal litigation, conduct commercial negotiation, carry out legal research and drafting, advocate before courts and tribunals, and to facilitate in mediation and arbitration to resolve private conflicts outside the use of litigation. Chris is specialised in immigration and employment law, both to the Irish domestic and European standards.
